I decided to try some bar-end mirrors on my WR250X. I removed the bar-end inserts, and clamped the mirrors to the bars near the cross brace. Worked out great. They take some getting used to since you have to look down at the mirrors, but once you get them adjusted to your liking, they seem to work great. And they look a lot better than the stock mirrors since they are tucked down low and out of the way. Here is a closeup view.

This past weekend I got a set of DRC Motard footpegs installed on my WR250X. The factory footpegs on the WR250X, which are the same as the ones on the WR250R, are OK but they are a little long and narrow for aggressive street or track riding. I'm always worried about scraping them on the pavement in turns. These DRC Motard footpegs have a slightly wider platform and are shorter, so they lessen the likelihood of scraping on the pavement. And if they do contact the pavement, the plastic peg slider attached to the bottom will slide rather than dig in.
Installation:
Installation is pretty simple. The first thing you have to do, obviously, is remove the stock footpegs. The left side peg comes off real easily, but the right one takes a bit longer since you need to move the rear brake lever out of the way. Once that's done, it's just a matter of putting on the new DRC motard footpegs using the DRC footpeg springs that come with the pegs.
Final Thoughts:
I really like these things! The wider platform feels much better than the narrow stock pegs, and since the footpegs are shorter than the stock ones, there is much less likelihood you will drag them on the pavement. If you do, the plastic slider will hopefully keep the pegs from digging in and damaging the pavement, or worse, causing a crash. The black powdercoat also looks sweet on the blacked out WRX.

I've noticed a few scuffs on the sides of the frame lately, probably from the plastic pieces on the insides of my Sidi boots. These new Z-Carbon carbon fiber frame guards should help keep the frame looking new...plus they look pretty sweet...

My WR250X currently has Bridgestone BT-003 tires on it. I probably have another 1000-1500 miles left on the rears, but I'm going to be doing a long weekend trip here soon, so I'll be taking the BT-003's off and putting on a fresh set of BT-090's. These are the same tires the bike came with from the factory and I really liked them... they should work great for my weekened trip.

Today I got my new Zeta Racing ED Skid Plate mounted. I don't do any serious off-roading with this bike, but occasionally venture onto some gravel roads and you just never know when a rock or something is going to get kicked up and potentially do some damage.
The skid plate mounts to the bike with four allen screws and literally took 5 minutes to put on. It wraps around the sides of the engine nicely protecing the water pump and crankcase. There is also an oil drain hole on the bottom so you don't have to take it off when you change your oil. So far, I like it!

Even though I really like the all black plastic on my 2009 WR250X, I decided to change up the look of the bike this spring. So, I ordered a set of the blue plastics and got some different graphics for the tank shrouds. Still gotta put the blue rear fender on, but for now, I think the bike looks pretty good.

After about 3000 miles the stock rear tire on my WR250X was completely shot. I was going to just replace it with another Bridgestone BT-090 Battlax, but decided I wanted something with a little more grip. I've used Bridgestone BT-003's on another bike and really liked them, so that's what I went with. IMHO there is no reason to go wider on the tires for this bike, so I stuck with the stock sizes front and rear.
